Before the consultation

  • Check your surroundings
  • Test technology
  • Ensure access to records


During the consultation

  • Check you can be seen and heard – lighting,  background noise
  • Help the patient improve video if necessary
  • Introductions of all participants
  • Eye contact – explain issues with this
  • Inform that consultation not recorded
  • Contingency plan
  • Verbal consent to continue


At the End of the Consult

  • As with telephone
  • Clarify follow up and which consultation  mode
